Partner with the best As an Area Operations Manager for Downstream Chemicals, you will be responsible for managing chemical applications and technical support needs for refinery-based customer accounts in the California Area (Greater Los Angeles & Greater San Francisco Areas). As an Area Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Be accountable for product line service delivery performance within the area
• Building long-term strategic relationships by providing account management to customers while understanding their business requirements and originating sales opportunities
• Identifying, coordinating, and collaborating with team members to drive projects, technical sales, and innovative solutions that bring value to our customers
• Developing, delivering, and leading business reviews and technical presentations to customers and executive leadership
• Managing the day-to-day operations of existing refinery chemical process business for customer accounts, technicians, and account personnel
• Demonstrating good communication with interpersonal skills and an ability to build trusting relationships with teams and customers
• Following Sales and Service Standards at key customer accounts to ensure compliance
• Directly manage a team of employees within the area
• Transition new business opportunities within key accounts throughout the areaFuel your passion To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Business, or other relevant field
  • Possess at least 5 years of refinery operations and/or chemicals experience related to refinery
  • Have or be able to obtain a TWIC card
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Have experience with and ability to influence others
  • Demonstrate business acumen and ability to ensure product and value delivery for our customers
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and an ability to build trusting relationships with internal teams and external customers
  • Show the ability to lead and coordinate several projects simultaneously
  • Have an understanding of HSE standards, a clear understanding of the compliance and reporting requirements associated with the flawless execution of a Perfect HSE Day

      • Additional elected or voluntary benefitsThe annual pay scale for this position is between $96,400.00 - $179,000.00.Candidates for this role (office-based/ hybrid/ remote) must be located in or near the locations displayed above.
