the Inclusion & Diversity Manager you will help administer the
ongoing initiatives of the Office of Inclusion by communicating
regularly with key internal and external stakeholders and oversee
the day-to-day operations of the Office of Inclusion in
collaboration with the Inclusion & Diversity Senior Manager and
Chief Inclusion & Diversity Officer. Key internal stakeholders
include the firm's lawyers, professional staff, firm leadership, as
well as the firm's Marketing, Business Development, Talent,
Practice Development, Finance, Event Planning, Technology, and
Recruiting teams, among others. External stakeholders include
clients, law students, bar associations and nonprofit organizations
with whom Seyfarth has established relationships.The Firm's global
Diversity & Inclusion Action Team works in a warm and cooperative
manner to advance the Firm's inclusion goals and to implement,
create and evolve industry-wide best practices, and to support the
Firm and individual lawyers and professional staff in ensuring that
everyone has the opportunity to pursue meaningful work
opportunities, to feel seen and included at the firm, and to foster
a sense of belonging.THE DAY-TO-DAY:On any given day, you will:
- Track the Office of Inclusion's workflow processes, including
managing relationships with the firm's Business Resource Groups and
Working Groups, overseeing cultural heritage month celebrations,
sponsorships, conferences, and events.
- Support the I&D Senior Manager and CIDO by engaging
participants for the Office of Inclusion's programs, tracking
attendance and impact, performing research, drafting
communications, and executing on specific inclusion related
projects.
- Travel is required up to about 4 times per year to one of our
U.S. offices for up to one week at a time, as determined by the
Chief Inclusion & Diversity Officer based on the ongoing needs of
the Office of Inclusion.YOU HAVE:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Advanced degree preferred
but not required.
- 3 to 7 years' experience, ideally in a law firm, corporation,
or in consulting, marketing, communications or journalism.
Experience in a high performance professional services environment
(law firm, management consulting, accounting, etc.) is preferred
but not required.
- Excellent project management skills including creating detailed
checklists, timelines, process mapping and holding all parties
accountable for their deliverables
- Knowledge of relevant software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel,
PowerPoint, Smartsheets, Canva), with the desire and ability to
learn new software and tools
- The ability to handle multiple assignments and shifting
priorities
- The ability to organize and prioritize work
- The ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced
environment
- Excellent writing skills, particularly on diversity, equity and
inclusion topics
- Experience or desire and ability to learn to design
aesthetically pleasing final products such as PDF reports and
slideshows
- The ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain
confidentiality
- The desire and ability to work independently for several days
without direct interaction from a supervisor; comfortable
communicating proactively with supervisor as needed
- The ability to take ownership over projects and show commitment
to completing projects on time even in the face of challenges
- The ability to give and receive clear constructive feedback
with kindness and grace; emotionally resilient, with a strong and
empowered sense of self
- The commitment and desire to continue to learn and develop
professionally including reading books and articles as recommended
by the Chief Inclusion & Diversity Officer, completing trainings
and adapting to change with a positive attitude and growth

work fully remote or a 3 day onsite hybrid schedule from one of the
following U.S. cities: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los
Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington, D.C.Los
Angeles: The full time salary range for this role is $126,000 to
$136,000 annually, which is based on a 40 hour work week.New York:
The full time salary range for this role is $137,000 to $147,000
annually, which is based on a 40 hour work week.San Francisco: The
full time salary range for this role is $143,000 to $155,000
annually, which is based on a 40 hour work week.Seattle: The full
time salary range for this role is $128,000 to $138,000 annually,
which is based on a 40 hour work week.Washington, DC: The full time
salary range for this role is $129,000 to $139,000 annually, which
is based on a 40 hour work week.This is the lowest to highest
salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role in the
locations listed above at the time of this posting. An employee's
pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors
including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications,
experience, skills, geographical location and business or
organizational needs. This job is also eligible for an annual merit
